ANNUAL FREE FISHING CLINIC
Join us for our Annual Free Fishing Clinic, held each year on the Saturday of Michigan Free Fishing Weekend! This fun, hands-on event gives children the opportunity to learn the basics of fishing in a safe and supportive environment.
Participants can bait their hook (if they choose) and cast a line into the pond during this catch-and-release experience. Kids can also have their catch measured for a chance to win a free fishing pole—winners will be selected after the event!
Throughout the clinic, children will rotate through interactive stations where they’ll learn valuable outdoor skills such as knot tying, fish identification, and more—all led by experienced local anglers.
To keep everyone energized, hot dogs, chips, and a drink will be provided by the Port Huron Township Recreation Department.
Please note:
  • Registration the day of, is required
  • A parent or guardian must sign the registration form
  • A parent or guardian must remain on-site during the clinic
Come out for a day of learning, fun, and fishing—we look forward to seeing you there!

FAMILY FALL FESTIVAL
The Fall Fest held annually in September is a family-oriented afternoon of late summer fun at the Beach Rd. Memorial Park. In the past we have drawn crowds of up to 300 people. We offer Inflatables, carnival type games for children, a magic show, fire truck tours, eye exams, local business food samples. It’s a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with your family and a nice way to meet your neighbors within Port Huron Township. This year’s Fall Festival will be held September 19, 2026.

ANNUAL HOLIDAY LIGHTS CONTEST
This contest is open to all township residents who want to decorate their homes and property with holiday lights.  You may nominate yourself or someone else.  Just fill out the nomination form and drop it off at the township hall by the deadline.  Please have your lights on by 6:00pm on December 16th so the judges may drive by your location and judge your display.  Prizes are given for the top four winners.
